Tango Pohjan Tähden

Tango Pohjan Tähden, is a tango quartet from Minneapolis, MN. Using traditional Finnish tango repertoire from composers such as Toivo Kärki, Unto Mononen, and Olavi Virta, Tango Pohjan Tähden blends aspects of Finnish tango, traditional Argentine tango, and Tango Nuevo into a lush, original soundscape. Elina Ruppert, vocals; Sara Pajunen, violin; Bob Barnes, accordion; Matt Miller, bass.

In addition to the musical performance, Ralph Tuttila and Monica McIntosh will treat the audience to a few Finnish tangos on stage that will certainly put everyone in the mood for Sexy Shorts!

Tango Pohjan Tähden's performance is scheduled for 9.00-9.30 on Friday, November 19th between screenings of Nordic Shorts and Sexy Shorts. Admission is included with a Sexy Shorts ticket.
